What is your creative need?

Research

Observe and question real users to understand what problems they have and what they desire and require from a solution.

Conceptualize

Using the research data, begin to idealize, sketch, formulate and test potential solutions to your user problem.

Design

Choose one solution that is most feasible and most likely to meet the users’ needs and bring it to life through the design process.

Model / Render

Fine-tune the details of the design and create a more lifelike model and/or rendered images of how the design will look and function.

Build

Ready, Set, Go! Now we are confident spending time and money building your design into a living and breathing project.

Welcome to my digital portfolio. My name is Dan O’Neill, and I hold a Master of Architecture degree from Arizona State University.  I operate BelleCreeke, an independent design and sitework contracting business.  Concurrently, I am seeking an introduction to the profession of architecture.

Here, I share a curated selection of graduate studio work, design explorations, and past built projects that reflect my holistic approach to the built environment and my evolving identity as a designer and future architect.  The range of representation techniques, design methodologies, and software tools featured in my projects represent my commitment to craft, adaptability, and design communication.

As I transition into the field of architecture, I am focused on refining my design workflow and aligning my experience with the evolving demands of the built environment. I have spent personal and professional time in preparation for an opportunity to expand my creative framework and prepare for meaningful engagement in architecture. My current short term goal is to find a professional practice to join that is as adaptable with me as an Associate, as the practice is with a new client and project.

This space is not only a showcase of work, but an invitation. Lets start a dialogue, explore potential collaborations, and ideally, to build lasting professional relationships grounded in creativity, trust, and shared vision. I am open and available to plan and design your custom home, new landscaping, or unique site features. I enjoy all types of design opportunities, large or small!

Part Urbanist, Part Environmentalist

My background is rooted in landscape design, construction, and a respect for the natural environment. My design process blends logic and intuition, allowing me to respond thoughtfully to site, climate, and regional context while crafting spaces that feel both functional and harmonious.

With hands-on experience in every phase of construction—from sitework and landscape installation to design detailing—I bring a grounded perspective to architecture. My path has been shaped not only by drawing and modeling, but by doing: I’ve imagined, designed, fabricated, grown, hauled, trenched, cut, painted, updated, led, learned, and built my way toward a Master of Architecture. Each step has deepened my understanding of how things come together—and why they matter.
